We here at Adam Is Freaking Out Right Now punto com are fully aware of what day it is. It is a Monday.

“But Adam,” you’re saying to yourself, aloud, in your sad, sad living room. “Episodes of My Dining Room Table come out on Wednesdays! That is just a known fact. Christ, I set my watch to that fact! Because I have a watch that only tells you what day it is.”

And you’re right. You do have that watch. But here’s the thing. Wednesday is Christmas, the day when we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ through He all is possible gay people don’t get married. And you can’t be expected to be downloading podcasts on Christ’s day! That would be sacrilege! And we certainly wouldn’t want you to wind up in hell just for trying to get your ACH podcast fix.

So instead, we’re dropping this red-hot episode on you today, Monday, so that you can enjoy it like a good Christian soldier. Which is to say judgmentally.

But go ahead and judge this episode, gang, I’m confident it will meet your approval. Because this episode of My Dining Room Table features Baron Vaughn.

Boom.

Baron swept through Denver this past month and left all who encountered him awe-struck. Dude is a flat-out performer. Yes, he’s a stand-up, but watching one of his sets you’re going to get singing, dancing, impressions, accents, one time he unearthed a live badger from his blazer in the middle of the set and didn’t even address it. And Baron was pretty mangled from that badger kind of trying to burrow in there. Didn’t say a word about it. Just simply handed the badger off to a stage-hand, kept performing. Homeboy is that good. He’s also a delight to talk shop with. Early on in Baron’s stay we started talking about the new Bill Cosby special and quickly discovered how big of fans we both are of the man. Baron responded to this revelation by talking in Cosby-speak for most of the weekend which is maybe my favorite thing that ever happened and has left me eternally disappointed in everyone else for not talking at me in spot-on Bill Cosby.

Because the days pass ever so slowly now.

Le sigh.

If you don’t know who Baron Vaughn is or have not watched his comedy, step up to the table and dig in. He’s one of the funniest guys working today and it was a real treat having him on my podcast. Listen to the episode, then go out and see Baron live. You’ll thank me.

Baron chose this music video.

Merry Christmas. Jesus bless us, everyone. Except for the people that that religion deems sinners. Those people are beyond our help.
