My first hour-long special, “Wallpaper,” is available now! While I’ve done numerous albums, they were audio only, no video component, per se. So when comedy tastemakers 800 Pound Gorilla gave me the chance to film a proper special, I was thrilled! Recorded at the Bug Theater in Denver, Colorado, and directed by the incomparable Nix Brothers, Wallpaper is my most elaborate comedy effort to date, and I’m extremely proud of it. As the fine folks at the label wrote, “Wallpaper showcases in a hilarious, vulnerable way a comedian growing into a new kind of artist and a new kind of person right before our eyes.”

Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to publish a book – long before comedy or anything. When people asked me what I was going to be when I grew up, I told them, “A writer.” But I never in a million years would have thought the subject matter of my first book would be the suicide of my little sister, whom I love and miss so much. I’m excited and heartbroken – which is pretty much how I’ve operated ever since Lydia passed away. Choosing every day to be excited about the time I have left on the planet; heartbroken that one of my absolute favorite people is no longer here to share it with me. I’m sure anyone who has suffered through such a major loss can relate. But this book helped me grieve. A lot. I cried as much writing this as I did those first few weeks after. Cathartic is the cliche people often throw around about such experiences, but I can’t think of a better one. This book provided a catharsis for me. And as sad as it is, I did my best to make it funny and honest too, like Lydia was. Like my family is. It’s a tribute to the littlest member of our clan who burned so brightly, and it’s an honest look at mental illness and mourning. So order the book if you feel so inclined. Get to know an amazing person gone too soon, one I miss and love dearly. Every single day. http://tragedyplustimebook.com/
