Episode Four of My Dining Room Table has dropped and I couldn’t be happier to present to you a delightful conversation with my dear friend Andrew Orvedahl! I’ve know Andrew for pretty much as long as I’ve been doing comedy. I remember going to those first few open mics way back when at the Lion’s Lair and the Squire and thinking Andrew was so fucking funny. He had a joke about how it was only kind of okay to pee in the pool if you were actually in the pool that just about killed me.

It was the last time he ever made me laugh. The year was 2004.

I kid, I kid. I kid because I love.

Since that time Andrew has grown to become hands-down one of the best comics I know. Home-girl is constantly writing new stuff and it always seems to stream so effortlessly out of him. I recently had the pleasure of recording an album on the same night as him and I remember sitting backstage, waiting to go on after Andrew recorded his hour, marveling at the wealth of hilarious material he has. But he’s also just a good person: a really sweet and loving father, an accomplished chef and foodie and last but certainly not least, he’s absolutely terrible with his money. Just the worst! I hope that he and I continue to work on projects together throughout our career so I can see him get a lot of money and then watch as he absolutely ruins himself financially.

And I’ll be right there to lend him money for Lego’s.
